About the Program
The Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Health and Human Sciences (IHHS) provides students who are currently working in healthcare, athletics, community services, education, and health-related businesses with a multidisciplinary approach to address health and wellness problems with innovative and culturally appropriate solutions. Students who have completed prior coursework in public health, nutrition, family sciences, health professions, social work, and other social sciences can transfer up to 90 credits and earn credit for prior learning with approval. Graduates of the program use interdisciplinary perspectives to solve pressing issues in health and human services for a wide variety of organizations including education, child development, social services, non-profits, community health, and mental health.

Morgan Completes You includes eight (8) interdisciplinary undergraduate degrees focused on integrating real-world experience with academic and professional skills required for the future of work. Every interdisciplinary degree program in the College of Interdisciplinary and Continuing Studies (CICS) supports these broad educational learning goals:
- Integrate knowledge and methodologies from multiple disciplines to develop a comprehensive understanding of complex issues and problems.
- Exhibit effective communication skills to convey interdisciplinary concepts and ideas to diverse audiences, both in written, oral, and digital formats.
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to analyze, evaluate, and address real-world challenges across various disciplines.
- Collaborate effectively with diverse teams, demonstrating cultural competency, adaptability, and interpersonal skills in interdisciplinary settings.
Interdisciplinary Health and Human Sciences (IHHS) Degree Learning Outcomes
By the end of this degree program, all students will be able to:
- Apply interdisciplinary health and human sciences concepts to assess and address health and well-being challenges.
- Develop culturally competent and inclusive strategies for health promotion and disease prevention.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of health and human services programs and interventions.
- Integrate ethical considerations in the design and implementation of health and human sciences research and practice.
