Interdisciplinary Engineering, Information, and Computational Sciences, B.S.

Program Transfer Guide
Morgan State University

About the Program

The B.S. in Interdisciplinary Engineering, Information, and Computational Sciences appeals to potential students who are working in Information Technology (IT), construction, or field technician jobs, or students who have taken courses in business management, mathematics, or engineering.  The potential graduates of this program will have growth opportunities in their careers in the fields of data science, software development, web development, network architecture, and a variety of engineering specialties such as civil, mechanical, and electrical.

In 2021 Morgan State University launched the College of Interdisciplinary and Continuing Studies (CICS) to provide interdisciplinary bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degree programs for students with some college and no degree.  CICS degrees are delivered in a hybrid modality to accommodate busy adults with a flexible curriculum designed to recognize credit from prior learning.  Students work closely with a dedicated academic advisor to create a degree plan that meets their personal and professional goals.

Morgan Completes You

CICS’s interdisciplinary degree programs are also known as the “Morgan Completes You” program.  Morgan Completes You allows students who have started and not completed an undergraduate, master’s or doctoral program a path to graduation.  The CICS PhD programs require that students have previously advanced to doctoral candidacy at an accredited college or university.

Center for Continuing and Professional Studies

The Center for Continuing and Professional Studies (CCPS) celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2023.  The mission of CCPS is to serve the lifelong educational needs of traditional and non-traditional students pursuing undergraduate, graduate, professional, and personal growth aspirations.  CCPS manages a variety of adult learner scholarships and serves as the host of the Morgan State University Gamma Pi chapter of Alpha Sigma Lambda, the adult learner honor society.

In addition, CCPS provides a variety of non-credit courses, workforce development workshops, corporate training, and can support issuing continuing education units and professional development hours for your events.
