About the Program

Film and media increasingly shape our view of the world. Bring your creative voice to life, and learn to create content, produce, analyze and critique a range of genres. Explore the fundamentals of audio production and how they are applied in the music, film, radio, and news industries.

The Film, Audio, Media Arts major is an undergraduate degree program leading either to the Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree. The FAMA major is designed to prepare students for career positions in film, video, television, audio, radio, and other media.

Students selecting the major will be assigned an advisor to assist them in designing a program to meet their individual needs. Students will meet with their advisor each semester to discuss their progress towards graduation and possible career opportunities.

*ENGL 102 and any major requirements must be completed with a C (2.0) or higher. *Core 1 Towson Seminar requirement is waived for all transfer students. *Core 9 Advanced Writing Seminar requirement must be completed at Towson University. *The Film/Video/Digital Media concentration requires that 30 units in major courses must be taken at Towson University. Students planning to enroll in this concentration may transfer a maximum of 18 credits to apply to the EMF major. *Students may transfer a maximum of 64 credits to Towson University.
