About the Program
The Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management (HCM) major is designed to give graduates the knowledge, skills, critical thinking ability, and technological competence essential to be successful in healthcare administration, conducting research, communicating effectively, and analyzing and interpreting healthcare data that impact the delivery of healthcare services. The healthcare management major provides a strong foundation in healthcare administration and includes courses in accounting, finance, healthcare management, healthcare marketing, economics, healthcare information systems, healthcare regulations, and ethics and law. Theoretical concepts reviewed in the classroom are applied to real world healthcare administration problems via case study analyses, teamwork, internships, and other integrative exercises.
